Why leisure feels this most

You can’t easily change how much energy a leisure facility needs. You can change what you pay for it. And that’s the part we run.

£150k+

A year. What a mid-size leisure centre can spend on energy.

~£12k

A typical yearly saving for a centre on a £150k energy spend, by buying direct.

~2×

Energy bills across UK gyms, pools and leisure centres roughly doubled, from around £500m in 2019 to an estimated £1bn–£1.25bn. (ukactive, 2023)

And that was 2023. Energy hasn’t come back down since.

What happens after you book

The service is the same for every business. The only variable is how much work it takes to get you the best deal, and that is settled in three steps before anything is signed.

1

You join a 10-minute discovery call

We look at your consumption, sites and current contracts. No prep needed. A recent bill is plenty.

2

We decide the best way to buy your energy

Price books, a full market tender, or a portfolio approach. Decided by your consumption, not your size.

3

You receive a free proposal. One fixed fee, in writing

Set by the route, agreed up front and never varying with price, consumption or contract value.

Included as standard

The service never changes. Only the procurement does.

Dedicated account manager

One name, one number. Someone who knows your account.

Renewals managed

Every window tracked. You're never caught out of contract.

Wait & watch monitoring

The market watched between buying events. You'll know when it moves.

Billing & supplier chasing

Queries raised, chased and resolved. Off your desk.

Site & supply admin

Tenancy changes, new connections, meter admin. Handled.

Water & carbon

Water tenders and carbon reporting included. Business water has been a competitive market since 2017.

Fee questions

Because the right route depends on your consumption, sites and contracts, not on a preference. Guess wrong and you either pay for a tender you don’t need or leave a five-figure saving on the table. The 10-minute call settles it, and the fee you’re quoted afterwards is fixed, in writing, with no obligation.

Yes. Your fee is agreed before any work begins and never changes with your energy price, consumption, or contract value. There are no hidden charges. All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT.

Nothing is due until your agreement is signed. The fee is then paid in full, upfront: by card via Stripe, or by bank transfer (BACS). All fees are exclusive of VAT.

With gas and electricity on staggered contracts averaging 24 months, at least one tender or matrix event is live in any given year. And the market never stops moving between them. The agreement is anchored on procurement, not a subscription: a year of buying events, monitoring and core services, for one fixed fee.

It depends on your consumption, not your company size. Plenty of businesses with smaller headcounts have large, complex energy needs. As a guide, a single site spending under circa £80k a year on electricity or gas is usually best priced from supplier price books, and above that it goes to tender. Multi-site estates are always tendered. It’s indicative, not a hard line: a 10-minute call is all it takes to establish which fits your consumption, sites and contracts. And we’ll tell you straight.

Then a tender is the right route. A tender is a fixed £1,500 for a multi-site estate spending under ~£80k/yr, or £3,000 once spend is £80k/yr or above (single or multi-site). The fee is higher than price books because a tender is more work: run end to end, both fuels, with day-of negotiation. On the £3,000 route the saving is typically £10k–£40k per contract, a return of around 3–13× on the fee. Either way, your fee is agreed before any work begins.

How your energy would be procured: price books, a tender or a portfolio approach. Plus your fixed fee, the savings we expect and the return on the fee, all in writing. There’s no obligation: it’s yours to consider, whatever you decide.

Multi-site estates are tendered, with supplies grouped and bought together wherever it wins a better price. The fixed fee is £1,500 for estates spending under ~£80k/yr, or £3,000 at £80k/yr and above. At 30+ sites, portfolio pricing applies: priced on application, with a dedicated account team and a procurement strategy built around your estate.

No. Nothing is added to your unit rate, ever. The fee you agree with us is the only thing you pay us.
